The Highest-Scoring Goalie, Defender, Midfielder & Striker in This Week’s Ladbrokes Fantasy Football

Ladbrokes’ new Fantasy Football game is well underway, with the scores in for week one – and you might be surprised by some of the weekend’s top-scorers.

Here, we give you a run-down of the highest-scoring spine in all of the Premiership’s Fantasy Football:

Goalkeeper – Ross Laidlaw

With Celtic keeping a clean-sheet and scoring seven goals, Scott Bain bagged an impressive 34 points, but he was outdone by Staggies shot-stopper Ross Laidlaw.

The newly-promoted Premiership new boys thrashed Hamilton Accies 3-0 at Dingwall, with Laidlaw putting in an eye-catching display.

The 27-year-old made five saves in the comprehensive victory, meaning he racked-up more points than any other goalkeeper in Scotland’s top-flight over the weekend.

The Rangers centre-back might seem slightly surprising considering the Ibrox side failed to keep a clean-sheet at Kilmarnock, but the towering defender managed to bag a last-gasp goal which bumped up his figures.

He also completed more tackles and interceptions than any other defender, helping him score 32 points against the Ayrshire side – just four points ahead of Celtic full-back Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo.

Midfielder – Ryan Christie

This one doesn’t need much of an explanation, with Ryan Christie not only the highest-scoring midfielder this week, but the highest-scoring player overall.

The 24-year-old banged in an impressive opening day hat-trick against sorry St. Johnstone, earning him a whopping 62.4 points, with James Forrest second with 38 points after conjuring up several assists for his team-mates.

Ross County’s Joe Chalmers came third with 29 points after his strike against Hamilton, whilst Scott Arfield’s goal and display earned him 28.7 points.

Striker – Odsonne Edouard

The prolific Frenchman started the season in scintillating fashion, scoring against St. Johnstone as well as setting-up two goals in the 7-0 thrashing, which earned him an impressive 46 points.

Edouard’s Bhoys team-mate Mikey Johnston was the second most prolific striker after gaining 36.6 points with a goal and assist of his own.

Ross County duo Ross Stewart and Billy McKay came third and fourth respectively with 32 and 29.5 points each.

The campaign might already be underway but it’s not too late to join in with the Fantasy fun, as you can sign-up here on the official website here.
