Liam Morrison has joined Bayern Munich from Celtic.
The highly-rated Scotland youth international has been linked with a move to the German giants over recent months and finally signed on the dotted line today.
That’s despite Hoops assistant manager John Kennedy saying there had been no offer from the Bundesliga club and confirming that his side wanted to get Morrison signed up on a professional deal, per The Scotsman.
Celtic fans would no doubt have been hoping the 16-year-old centre back would stay and try to force his way into the first team in Glasgow.
But Bayern confirmed earlier that they’ve got their man:
That’s a setback for Celtic as Morrison is a Scotland youth international and was obviously rated very highly at the Parkhead club.
Now, you hope Morrison can go on and make a breakthrough at Bayern and benefit the Scotland national team over the coming years.
