Jonathan Afolabi has been pictured at Celtic Park this afternoon after being linked with a move to Celtic.

The Ireland youth international has been without a club since leaving Southampton at the end of last season.

It was reported by The Herald earlier that the Hoops had won the race to sign the striker.

And now that looks certain to happen after Afolabi was pictured watching on during Celtic’s Betfred Cup clash with Dunfermline this afternoon.

That’s according to Clyde 1 Superscoreboard:

Afolabi spent his youth career with Southampton, but was unable to make the breakthrough at the Premier League club.

At 19, you would expect Afolabi to join Neil Lennon’s squad and compete to play given he’s too old to be in the club’s youth academy.

But he could be a signing for the future too, with the Hoops able to play him in their reserve team.

Celtic fans – are you happy with this signing?
