Kilmarnock Reject Sunderland Bid for Celtic Target Greg Taylor

Sunderland have had a bid rejected for Kilmarnock left-back – and Celtic transfer target – Greg Taylor, according to reports this evening.

The Scotland international, 21, has been strongly linked with a move to Celtic, as we told you as recently as yesterday, with Neil Lennon known to be in the market for defensive reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

However, according to reliable reporters for both STV and Sky Sports, English League One side Sunderland have shown their hand by lodging a bid for Taylor, only for their offer to be turned down by the Killie hierarchy:

Taylor made his full international debut for Scotland in June’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Belgium, after playing a crucial part in Kilmarnock’s impressive third-place finish in last season’s Premiership campaign.

But do you think he could be the long-term replacement for Kieran Tierney at Parkhead?
