As we’ve told you throughout the summer months, the French World Cup winner has publicly stated his desire to leave Old Trafford during the transfer window, with The Mirror just one of numerous tabloids linking the midfielder with a move to Real Madrid.
But despite this, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started Pogba at the heart of his midfield, and the 26-year-old didn’t disappoint, providing two assists and strolling about the pitch with one of his vintage performances.
Pogba set-up Marcus Rashford for United’s second goal, and Dan James for United’s fourth, and his confident display wasn’t overlooked by United supporters on social media:
