Earlier this summer, the Frenchman’s career at the Hoops seemed like it was over after comments he made denigrating the standard of Scottish football whilst representing France at the Under-21 European Championships.
At the time, as we told you, Lennon called Ntcham’s comments ‘untimely and inaccurate’ and said he’d be holding showdown talks with the ex-Man City man.
However, Ntcham was handed played the entire 90 minutes in last night’s 2-0 win over the Estonian champions, and it seems cooler heads have prevailed a few weeks down the line.
Speaking via the Sun, the Lennon explained: “I had a chat with him when he first came back, another chat during the week and again on the day of the game.
“It was just about him in general and trying to get to know him a wee bit better.
“Whether that’s had any effect on his performance in Tallinn I don’t know, but I thought he was brilliant.
“Whether he plays the No 10 role or in midfield, when you consider he has only really been back a week or two it was a really good all round performance.
“Again, you have to gauge the level you are playing against and be careful. But there were a lot of good things in his performance and it was pleasing.”
As we’ve told you previously, Ntcham has been strongly linked with a move away from Glasgow, but do you think he now has a future at Parkhead?
