Plenty of Celtic Fans Reckon Scott McKenna Could Be Heading to Parkhead

Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna has officially handed in a transfer request – and there’s plenty of Celtic supporters who reckon he could soon be heading to the East End of Glasgow.

According to the BBC, the Scotland international centre-back notified the Pittodrie side of his intentions to leave the Dons earlier today, only for his transfer request to be rejected, with the Nottingham Post linking Nottingham Forest and QPR with a move for the highly-rated 22-year-old.

But, as we’ve told you previously, Celtic have also been linked with having an interest in McKenna and news of his desire for a new challenge today has led to supporters on social media to put two and two together and come up with the fact that the Hoops could have a high-profile new signing:

Given McKenna is likely to cost a serious amount of money in Scottish terms, do you think Neil Lennon’s side will end up making a move for him?

And if so, would McKenna be a hit at Celtic Park?
