Rangers supporters have been singling out Ryan Jack for some serious praise after today’s scrappy but important win over St Mirren.
As has been the case for most of Steven Gerrard’s reign as Gers boss, and certainly since the start of the current season, Jack was deployed at the heart of the pitch in Paisley this afternoon, as the Ibrox club saw out a tight 1-0 victory thanks to Borna Barisic’s second-half free-kick.
Whilst the Croatian defender earned praise from his manager afterwards, it seems the fans were slightly more impressed with Jack’s typically hard-working and tenacious display in midfield.
In fact, some fans on social media have been so impressed by Jack’s form that they reckon he could soon go on to be crowned a Rangers captain:
With Steve Clarke naming his Scotland squad in the coming week, surely Jack’s got to be in his thinking, eh?
What do you think of Jack’s form, and the reaction from the Rangers support?
