Romanian Press Link Celtic With Move For CFR Cluj Striker Bilel Omrani

Bilel Omrani is a target for Celtic, according to the Romanian media.

Hoops fans should be aware of the CFR Cluj striker after his two goals helped the Romanian side knock them out of the Champions League just over two weeks ago.

Neil Lennon’s side were in control of that tie in the second half of the second leg, but Omrani popped up with two goals to swing the tie in Cluj’s favour.

And they finished the job off with a 4-3 victory to give them a 5-4 aggregate win and advance to the playoff stage of Champions League qualifying.

Unfortunately for Cluj, they lost out to Slavia Prague last night for a place in the group stages and will now play Europa League football.

Now Celtic want Omrani in a €3.3million deal, according to Romanian newspaper GSP, per Emanuel Rosu:

The summer transfer window ends on Monday and Celtic will be keen to strengthen their squad between now and then.
