Video: Jim White Hammers Celtic For Champions League Record

Jim White has been hammering Celtic this morning over their Champions League record in recent years.

The Scottish presenter was in charge of his usual show on talkSPORT this morning – and they understandably concentrated on the Hoops’ defeat to CFR Cluj in qualifying last night.

Going into the tie, Celtic had an away goal after last week’s 1-1 draw in Romania.

But they failed to build on that, losing 4-3 to Cluj in a shock result.

It’s another disappointing European defeat for the Scottish champions – the second consecutive season that they’ve lost out at this stage.

And they’ll now need to concentrate on qualifying for the Europa League group stages over the coming weeks rather than concentrating on the Champions League group stages.

But should we be so shocked? Not for White, who believes Celtic’s recent qualification record isn’t good enough:

Is White right to be so critical of Celtic for their qualification record?
