Aberdeen Fans Start ‘#McInnesOut’ Trending on Twitter After Rangers Thrashing

Aberdeen were thrashed 5-0 at the hands of Rangers on Saturday afternoon – and to say the club’s fans are angry would be a pretty big understatement.

The Dons won twice at Ibrox against Steven Gerrard’s men last season but it was a completely different story in Glasgow this afternoon, with a James Tavernier double, a goal each from Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe and a strike from Greg Stewart sealed an absolute rout, and put Rangers within one point of bitter rivals Celtic.

But Derek McInnes won’t be too concerned with the title race tonight, with some Aberdeen supporters baying for blood.

Aberdeen are still fourth in the Premiership table, with 11 points from seven matches so far this season, but the hashtag ‘McInnesOut’ started trending on Twitter this evening, and some of the comments on social media are pretty stinging:

Do you think Aberdeen should seriously consider sacking Derek McInnes?
