The Finnish agent – who represents Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos – watched on as his country lost 2-1 to the Italians in Tampere.
Finland went into the game in confident mood, having won four of their opening five Euro 2020 qualification games.
A win would have taken them up on to 15 points alongside group leaders Italy.
But they fell to a 2-1 defeat, with Madden playing a big role in that result.
Italy had taken the lead in the second half through Ciro Immobile, but Finland were back level shortly after when Teemu Pukki fired home from the spot.
Just seven minutes later though, Italy grabbed their winner – with Jorginho scoring a penalty that was awarded after a handball on Sauli Väisänen.
When you see the penalty award, it’s clear to see why so many are angry at Madden:
And Lindblom was amongst those furious with the referee:
Lindblom will be well aware of Madden due to his representation of Morelos – a player the Scottish ref has sent off on more than one occasion during his time at Rangers.
