The ex-Celtic man became the most expensive Scottish player of all-time when Arsenal paid the Hoops £25 million for his services during the summer transfer window, but he’s been on the sidelines after undergoing a double hernia operation in June.
But Tierney is now fully-fit, and by the sounds of it, back to his flying best.
The 22-year-old was given the nod to start tonight’s third round Carabao Cup tie at home to Nottingham Forest, and he played his part in the 4-0 victory before being subbed off late in the second-half.
Whilst he wasn’t directly involved in any of the goals, Tierney’s lung-bursting runs down the left-flank seem to have earned him plenty of new fans south of the border:
Do you think Tierney has the ability to match and even surpass Andy Robertson’s achievements at Liverpool?
