Henrik Larsson ‘Set’ For UK Managerial Debut With English League One Side

Henrik Larsson could be set to make his British managerial debut with Southend United.

The Celtic legend has only ever managed in Sweden, taking charge of Landskrona BoIS, Falkenberg and Helsingborgs.

He most recently left Helsingborgs in August and hadn’t been mentioned with any jobs in Britain.

But now it appears he’s to be interviewed for the Southend job, according to The Southend Echo.

They claim Larsson would watch their League One game against MK Dons at Stadium MK this afternoon.

And he’s actually been pictured in attendance this afternoon:

That would be a very high profile appointment from Southend, who are on the hunt after the resignation of Kevin Bond earlier this month.

Larsson is a football legend after successful spells with Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United during his playing career.

At the time of writing, 22nd-placed Southend lead MK Dons – who sit in 16th – 1-0 thanks to Charlie Kelman’s goal.
