Kieran Tierney Makes Full Arsenal Debut with Celtic Tribute on His Boots

Kieran Tierney made his long-awaited Arsenal debut this evening – but it seems his boyhood club Celtic weren’t too far from his thoughts.

The 22-year-old left-back was made the most expensive Scottish player of all-time when the Gunners forked out a whopping £25 million to prise him out of Celtic Park, but he’s been sidelined for the past few months after undergoing a double hernia operation.

However, Tierney was selected to start tonight’s Carabao Cup third-round tie at home to Nottingham Forest, and the official Arsenal website showed-off a picture of his seat in the home dressing room not too long before kick-off.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed the embroidering on each of his boots, which read ‘Bhoys’ and ‘Bullfrog’, a nod to not only Celtic but his local Sunday league team:

A pretty nice gesture, eh?

How important a player do you think Tierney will turn out to be for Arsenal this season?
