Celtic Boss Neil Lennon Delighted with Club’s ‘Very Good’ Transfer Window

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has praised the club’s transfer business after the summer window slammed shut last night.

In total, Lennon completed 11 new signings, with left-back Greg Taylor arriving from Kilmarnock ahead of the deadline, along with youngsters Jeremie Frimpong and Lee O’Connor from Manchester City and Manchester United respectively.

Having sold Kieran Tierney to Arsenal for a record £25 million, and losing in the Champions League qualifiers to Romanian minnows CFR Cluj, Lennon and his backroom team were under serious pressure to reinforce the Hoops squad, but the Northern Irishman seems pretty content with his business.

There’s no club football this weekend as the international fixtures take centre-stage, but Lennon commented on Celtic’s business as he collected the Ladbrokes’ Premiership Manager of the Month for August earlier today:

What do you think of Celtic’s transfer business?

Is Lennon correct in being so enthusiastic about the incomings?
