Plenty of Chelsea Fans Are Furious with Kepa After Valencia’s Winning Goal at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea made their return to the Champions League this evening but it didn’t go as planned for Frank Lampard’s side, as Valencia sprung a surprise at Stamford Bridge.

Following the weekend’s 5-2 mauling of Wolves in the Premier League, the Blues went into tonight’s group stage opener against the Spaniards as favourites but their La Liga opponents put up more than a good account of themselves.

Chelsea spurned several decent opportunities throughout, and they were made to pay the price in the 75th minute when Spain striker Rodrigo pounced on some really slack defending to fire the visitors in-front:

It didn’t take long at all before fans were pointing the finger at goalie Kepa Arrizabalaga, with many claiming he should’ve done a lot better with the effort:

Do you think Kepa should’ve saved it, and does he deserve such intense criticism?
