Rangers reportedly failed in a late bid to take Manchester City starlet Phil Foden on-loan for the rest of the season.
Steven Gerrard’s side pulled a rabbit out of the hat by splurging a reported £7 million on Ryan Kent from Liverpool, but it seems he wasn’t the only Premier League player targeted by the Ibrox club.
According to the Sun, the Gers made an offer to take Foden to Glasgow for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign, with Serie A giants Roma also proposing a similar deal.
Rated as one of the most gifted players Pep Guardiola has ever worked with, Foden has been earmarked as a potential superstar for several seasons now, but the 19-year-old has been limited to just one league appearance so far this season in the 5-0 victory against West Ham United.
How do you think Foden would’ve fared in the Scottish Premiership, and could he have potentially taken his game to a new level under the watchful eye of England legend Gerrard?
