Rangers Fans Pile Praise on Borna Barisic for ‘Superb’ Feyenoord Display

Rangers fans are showing praise on full-back Borna Barisic tonight following his ‘superb’ showing against Feyenoord.

The Croatian left-back has endured a frustrating spell at Ibrox so far, having failed to properly nail down a regular starting spot under Steven Gerrard, with the Gers boss seemingly unconvinced by the 26-year-old.

But Barisic – who is a regular starter for the Croatian national side – was given the nod for tonight’s Europa League group stage opener against the Dutch giants, and he finally showed exactly what he’s capable of.

Barisic won an unlikely 50-50 tackle in the first-half with Rick Karsdorp which played a crucial role in Rangers’ winning goal, and his endless lung-bursting runs seem to have won over the club’s supporters:

Jon Flanagan has been the first-choice left-back for much of Steven Gerrard’s tenure in charge at Ibrox, but could tonight’s showing be a watershed moment for Borna Barisic?
