The holding midfielder has become a cult hero to Rangers fans after a string of impressive performances ever since his cut-price £50,000 transfer from Dundee in the January transfer window.
And it seems the move to Ibrox has solidified Kamara’s place in Finland’s starting XI, as Greece found out to their cost last night.
Finland needed to win last night’s Euro 2020 qualifier in Helsinki to stay in touch with group leaders Italy, and Teemu Pukki’s second-half penalty was enough to secure a precious 1-0 victory.
But it was Kamara who soaked up most of the plaudits afterwards, with the Gers man catching the eye whilst playing further up the pitch:
Kamara was substituted at half-time in Rangers’ bitterly disappointing 2-0 defeat against Celtic on Sunday, but surely the 23-year-old will still be a very important player for Steven Gerrard going forward?
What do you think?
