Steven Gerrard has given Rangers fans a positive update on Ryan Kent’s fitness.
The Ibrox manager spoke to the media this afternoon ahead of his side’s opening Europa League group game against Feyenoord tomorrow night.
It’s an emotional day for the club as they deal with the heartbreaking news of Fernando Ricksen’s death.
Rangers announced that this morning – leading to tributes pouring in from fans, former players, former managers and opponents.
Gerrard hailed Ricksen at the beginning of his press conference before going on to speak about what will be a big night at Ibrox.
And he also spoke about Kent, who limped off early in their 3-1 win over Livingston at the weekend.
It was confirmed post-match that the former Liverpool man had suffered a hamstring injury.
But Gerrard has given supporters a positive update on the £7million man today:
So there will be no Kent tomorrow night or in the coming games, but there is hope that he’ll return to action in a few weeks rather than a few months.
