Hearts captain Christophe Berra has opened up on his side’s nightmare start to the season, as well as under-fire boss Craig Levein.

Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at home to Motherwell left the Jambos rock-bottom of the Premiership after their opening five matches, with just two points gathered from a possible 15 so far.

The result saw a significant section of the Hearts support stage an impromptu protest outside the club’s Tynecastle stadium just after the full-time whistle, with Levein now under serious pressure going into next weekend’s Edinburgh Derby away to bitter rivals Hibernian.

Speaking exclusively to The Ladbrokes Social Club, Berra looked pretty down in the dumps as he addressed the troubled start to the campaign, and even suggested he and his team-mates might relish a break from playing at home:

Of course, the looming Edinburgh Derby isn’t only crucial for Hearts but also Hibs, with Paul Heckingbottom’s men also in poor form, with just four points from their opening five fixtures.
