Video: Neil Lennon Reacts to Angelo Alessio Comparing Celtic to Juventus

Neil Lennon has thanked Angelo Alessio for drawing a comparison between Celtic and Juventus.

The Hoops manager faced the media this morning ahead of his side’s clash with Kilmarnock on Sunday.

He spoke about a number of things, including last night’s 1-1 draw with Rennes in their opening Europa League group game.

And he was also asked about Alessio’s comments – with the Kilmarnock manager believing Celtic are like the Scottish Juventus due to their domestic dominance, per Football Scotland.

Given Juve are one of Europe’s best and most historic sides, Lennon reacted well to the comparison:

Celtic go into Sunday’s game without a loss in their opening five Premiership games, while Kilmarnock sit sixth after taking seven points from their opening five.

It was a difficult start to life at Rugby Park for Alessio as his side were dumped out of the Europa League at the hands of Connah’s Quay Nomads.

But he’s steadied the ship recently, getting a draw and two wins from their last three league games.
