Celtic boss Neil Lennon has crowned today’s Old Firm victory over Rangers as ‘the best’ in his entire career.

The Hoops went into today’s match against Steven Gerrard’s side at Ibrox in the unfamiliar position of being underdogs, at least in the eyes of the bookmakers, with many fans and pundits scrutinising their defence.

However, the Premiership champions put in a clever and mature display to defeat their arch rivals 2-0, thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and substitute Jonny Hayes.

Speaking to Celtic TV after match, Lennon was understandably delighted, and insisted this was the best and most satisfying victory of his almost 20-year spell associated with the Parkhead side:

The result leaves Lennon’s Celtic three points clear at the top of the Premiership going into the international break, and firmly in the hunt for their ninth consecutive title.

What do you think of the result, and Lennon’s tactics?
