Video: Neil Lennon Shares Thoughts on Scotland Treatment of His Celtic Players

Neil Lennon has shared his thoughts on the treatment of his Celtic players while on Scotland duty.

Steven Gerrard sparked headlines yesterday after criticising the national team for the way they handled Ryan Jack.

The Rangers midfielder was in the squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Russia and Belgium after impressing at the start of the season.

But he failed to make an appearance – not even being included in the squad for the 4-0 defeat to Belgium on Monday.

Gerrard accused Scotland of being ‘careless’ with Jack, per the BBC.

And now Lennon has given his thoughts on how the Celtic players were treated while away with the national team over the last week.

Speaking to the media today:

Lennon had Greg Taylor, Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor and James Forrest in the Scotland team – with the latter three all playing.

Celtic now face Hamilton at New Douglas Park tomorrow in a game they should feel confident of winning.
