Video: Watch Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard Score Twice on France U21 Debut

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard announced himself on the international stage last night by scoring twice on his debut for France’s Under 21s.

The Hoops forward is in the best form of his career at the minute, having banged in an impressive six goals in 11 outings for Neil Lennon’s side so far this season – including the vital opener in the 2-0 win over bitter rivals Rangers on Sunday.

Edouard’s club form has obviously caught the eye of those in power at the French Football Federation, and the 21-year-old was included in the Under-21 squad for the match against Albania on Thursday night, and didn’t let the fact he started on the bench affect his confidence.

The second-half substitute showed exactly what he’s all about as he bagged an eye-catching double in Les Bleus’ 4-0 victory:

Seeing Edouard in that royal blue shirt is a little reminiscent of ex-Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, but do you think Edouard will go on to surpass his former team-mate?
