Andy Robertson might be considered as one of the best left-backs in European football but the Scotland captain morphed into a classic No9 to score his first Champions League goal tonight.
The 25-year-old former Dundee United man is usually the man setting-up his team-mates after completing one of his trademark lung-bursting runs down the left flank, but tonight Robertson was the recipient and showed-off just how calm a finisher he can be in-front of goal.
Liverpool began the defence of their Champions League crown at Anfield against RB Salzburg, and Sadio Mane bagged the opening goal after just nine minutes – and Robertson popped up in an unfamiliar position to nab a goal of his own after 25 minutes:
Classic Liverpool. A pretty brilliant move, eh?
How highly do you rate Robertson in terms of being an elite player? Could he really be considered the out-and-out best left-back in European football at the moment?
