Connor Goldson Claims He and Alfredo Morelos Were Hit By Missiles From Porto Fans

Connor Goldson claims he and Alfredo Morelos were hit by missiles from Porto fans during Rangers’ 1-1 draw.

The Ibrox defender helped his side earn a point against the Portuguese giants in their third Europa League game.

And while he was delighted at the result post-match, he revealed he was hit by lighters and coins during the game.

According to Goldson, they were thrown by the Porto supporters and hit him and teammate Morelos:

That’s disappointing to read – and you would hope those Porto fans are punished by the club if identified.

Luis Diaz gave Porto the lead in the game with a stunning first-half goal, but Alfredo Morelos levelled just before the break.

Rangers had opportunities to win the game, as did Porto, but a draw should make Steven Gerrard and his team delighted as it puts them second in the group – just two points behind leaders Young Boys with three games remaining.

And, crucially, two of these three remaining matches will be played at Ibrox.
