Could Billy Gilmour Be Set For Chelsea Start Against Manchester United?

Frank Lampard has confirmed he’ll hand a chance to some fringe players when Chelsea play Manchester United tomorrow night.

And that could present an opportunity to Scottish youngster Billy Gilmour.

The Stamford Bridge boss led his side to an impressive 4-2 win over Burnley at the weekend – making it seven wins on the bounce.

It was a 7-1 Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby that started this winning run.

And that was a game that saw Gilmour play from the start, impressing with his quality on and off the ball.

A number of younger and fringe players got an opportunity that night – and Lampard has hinted that more changes could be made for the visit of Manchester United in the fourth round of the competition:

So could Gilmour be set to make another appearance from the start against United?

He’s made two competitive appearances under Lampard this season and has been an unused substitute regularly too.
