Henrik Larsson, Dennis Bergkamp and Dirk Kuyt All Part of Consortium Trying to Buy Wycombe Wanderers

Celtic and Arsenal legends Henrik Larsson and Dennis Bergkamp are part of a consortium reportedly trying to complete a takeover of English lower league side Wycombe Wanderers.

The Chairboys have been in pretty decent form this season, and currently sit just four points off the top of England’s third tier behind pace-setters Ipswich Town.

But, behind the scenes, Wycombe have a few financial issues, and The Athletic, are reporting that Larsson has joined forces with Dutch heroes Bergkamp and Kuyt in order to take over the club, with a promise of wpiping out debts and improving commercial income.

As we told you previously, Larsson has been recently linked with a return to British football, and has recently held talks about taking over as manager of Southend, but it remains to be seen if current Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth’s position would be under threat if the takeover goes through.

What do you think of the potential deal? Do you think this potential buyout could be a good thing for Wycombe and the club’s supporters?
