Neil Lennon Delivers Positive Scott Brown Fitness Update But Reveals Bayo Might Require Surgery

Celtic boss has provided a positive fitness update on captain Scott Brown – but revealed striker Vakoun Bayo might require an operation.

The Hoops continued their excellent run of recent form with a comfortable 2-0 win over St Mirren on Wednesday evening, with the only negative being Brown being forced off with an injury during the second-half.

The ever-present Celtic skipper was replaced by Olivier Ntcham in the 69th minute, with Lennon revealing after the final whistle that he’s ‘tweaked’ a thigh muscle, but that his substitution was more of a precaution than anything else:

Celtic now face Hibs in the Betfred Cup semi-final on Saturday, before travelling to Rome for a Europa League re-match with Lazio next Thursday night.

How essential is it that Brown remains fit for both matches, as Celtic continue their assault for success on four fronts this season?
