Video: Nikola Katic Targeting ‘Something Special’ After Signing New Long-Term Rangers Contract

Rangers centre-back Nikola Katic has signed a new long-term contract this evening – and insists he’s targeting ‘something special’ at the Ibrox club.

The Croatian cap has been in Glasgow since the summer of 2018, and looks to be a potential key player for Steven Gerrard this season, having turned out 12 times in all competitions, including starting September’s Old Firm clash with Celtic.

And it seems the Gers hierarchy have their faith in Katic too, after it was revealed he’d put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal – keeping him tied to the Premiership giants until the summer of 2023 at least:

Of course, Connor Goldson looks to be the man Steven Gerrard trusts most at centre-back, and Swedish international Filip Helander arrived for around £3 million during the summer transfer window – so where do you see Katic fitting into Rangers’ long-term vision?

Are you a fan of the big, imposing defender?
