Porto Manager Questions Rangers’ Quality While Reacting to Draw

Sergio Conceicao questioned the quality of Rangers following Porto‘s draw with them tonight.

The Porto manager faced the media after his side could only draw with Steven Gerrard’s team earlier.

They had led in the Europa League group thanks to Luis Diaz’s goal, but were pegged back soon after through Alfredo Morelos’ equaliser for the visitors.

And it ended 1-1, with Rangers frustrated that they didn’t manage to go on and get the win.

Speaking after the game, Conceicao spoke about how the quality of teams like Rangers make it more about a fight rather than quality:

If you translate the tweet, it reads: “We had enough situations to win the game, not in a fantastic game, but we knew that against these teams the quality of the game is lost a lot and the fighting comes up”

We’re not sure Rangers will take too kindly to those comments.

And they’ll be intent on showing that when the teams square up again at Ibrox two weeks from now.
