Rangers Fans Absolutely Delighted as ‘Future Captain’ Ryan Jack Signs New Deal

Ryan Jack has signed a new contract extension at Rangers this evening – and the news has left plenty of the club’s supporters absolutely delighted.

The 27-year-old midfielder has developed into a key cog in Steven Gerrard’s system for the Ibrox side, and has put pen-to-paper on a deal that will now expire in June of 2023.

Having joined the Gers on a free transfer from Aberdeen in the summer of 2018, Jack already had a contract that ran for another two years, but news of the extension only serves to hammer home just how important he is to Gerrard and the club’s ambitions.

He might’ve previously captained Aberdeen but a mere glance at social media shows just how popular Jack has become amongst Rangers fans over the last year or so:

Jack is currently out injured after straining knee ligaments, with his drive and determination definitely missed in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Hearts.

But do you think Jack has enough in his locker to go on and succeed James Tavernier as the club’s permanent skipper one day?
