Teenage Barcelona Star Ansu Fati Ruled Out Of Inter Milan Game Due To Growing Pains

Anybody hoping to catch a glimpse of Ansu Fati for Barcelona tonight shouldn’t get their hopes up too much – after the teenager was ruled out with growing pains.

At just 16, Fati has been tipped to become the latest young player to reach superstar status playing for the Catalan giants, and he became Barcelona’s youngest-ever Champions League player after starting the match-day one fixture away to Borussia Dortmund.

However, Barca supporters won’t be watching Fati tonight against Inter Milan after Spanish journalist Fernando Polo from Mundo Deportivo reported that the youngster is unavailable for selection at the Nou Camp tonight for the visit of Inter as he is experiencing discomfort in his right knee – the pain directly related to Fati’s growth.

Fati has been earmarked as an elite player for several seasons and has been really impressive in his five senior appearances this season, scoring two goals.

But if he’s still struggling with growing pains, is this a sign that perhaps Barca should hold his progress back slightly and take a bit more care?

What do you think?
