The Scotland left-back has been made to wait patiently before appearing in the English top-flight ever since making his £25 million move from Celtic, after undergoing a double-hernia operation during the summer.
Tierney has appeared against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, as well as against Standard Liege in the Europa League, and, as we’ve told you previously, the 22-year-old has impressed Gunners supporters in his energetic, fleeting showings.
And now Emery appears to have given him the green light to take to the pitch when Arsenal travel to Sheffield United at the weekend.
Speaking via the Sun, the Spanish coach explained: “He (Tierney) is ready to play.
“Now we have two options in that left-back role with Sead Kolasinac and him.
“We’re going to play a lot of matches after Monday. We will need every player.
“It depends how he comes into the first training with us, Sead, after his international matches.
“We now have two players in that position and we can use one on Monday, it depends how they are, one or the other.”
Are you excited to see Tierney finally show what he can do in arguably the best league on the planet?
