Celtic thrashed Aberdeen this afternoon at Pittodrie and Jeremie Frimpong was once again the star of the show for the Hoops.

The 18-year-old right-back put in a virtuoso display in last weekend’s 6-0 victory at home to Ross County and was given the nod to start today’s tough-looking clash in the Granite City, and the teenager certainly didn’t disappoint.

The ex-Man City full-back was starting only the third match of his professional career against the Dons, and it took him just 15 minutes to score his first senior goal, after some excellent build-up play with Odsonne Edouard.

In the end, Celtic ran out 4-0 winners over their sorry opponents, with Edouard, Elyanoussi and Forrest grabbing the other goals – and we reckon Hoops fans might well have a new cult hero to worship:

How highly do you rate Frimpong, and is he now rightly considered to be Celtic’s new first-choice right-back?
