Dundee have been preparing for their upcoming showdown with Partick Thistle in slightly unorthodox fashion – by taking on 100 school kids at Dens Park.
If you’re a parent, you’ll be all too painfully aware of the fact that yesterday marked the start of October Week, with children across the country given a half-term break from studies to enjoy some of the, erm, autumn sunshine.
And the lads over at Dundee have played their part in keeping some of the kids busy, by inviting them over for the slightly bizarre spectacle of a friendly tie against their first-team.
Every child could be no older than 13, and all had to be dressed in the club’s new white away kit in order to make the starting 100, with James McPake’s men turning out in their traditional dark blue.
In the end, a good day was had by all, with the youngsters using their strength in numbers in order to defeat their heroes 14-1:
The Dee are currently fourth in The Championship table, and this result could pile the pressure on McPake and his management team.
We’ll keep you posted on any breaking news about their future.
