Video: Leigh Griffiths Responds to Social Media Gossip by Posting Training Clip

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has hit back at online gossip this afternoon by posting a clip on Instagram of his latest training session.

The Hoops forward is currently on the sidelines injured, and hasn’t made a first-team appearance for Neil Lennon’s side since the 3-1 home win over Hearts on August 25.

The lack of game-time has prompted seemingly unfounded speculation on Twitter that perhaps Griffiths’ days at Celtic Park were numbered, but the 29-year-old has calmly responded with a message of his own from the club’s plush Lennoxtown training complex – complete with an emoji telling his doubters in no uncertain terms to keep quiet:

Of course, it’s not only Celtic who’ve been missing Griffiths, with Scotland also struggling for striking options – so the quicker he can get fit and firing for both club and country, the better.

Do you think Griffiths can still be an influential player for Celtic this season?
