Video: Pep Guardiola Absolutely Furious with John Stones Over How Long it Takes Him to get Stripped

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola showed a glimpse of his red-hot temper this evening when he confronted John Stones in the Etihad home dugout.

Despite several high-profile injuries to defenders, Stones was left out of the starting line-up for City’s Champions League tie with Serie A newcomers Atalanta tonight, but the £50 million centre-back was soon needed as a substitute.

Brazilian holding midfielder Fernandinho was deployed at the centre of defence, but when £60 million summer signing Rodri was forced off just before half-time with a hamstring injury, Pep turned to Stones – only to discover the England international wasn’t quite ready:

The clip might seem pretty insignificant to some, but we reckon it’s a stark reminder of just how much of a perfectionist Guardiola is, and how easily he can lose his temper when things aren’t going his way.
