Yet More Bad Luck For Danny Welbeck With Latest Injury

Danny Welbeck was forced out of Watford‘s clash with Tottenham with another injury this afternoon.

The English striker joined the Vicarage Road club in the summer, leaving Arsenal after spending five years at Arsenal.

He only managed 126 appearances for the Gunners in that time and only played more than 40 times in a season once during his stint in north London.

And it was largely down to bad injuries that Welbeck struggled to play regularly, suffering a serious knee injury twice while with Arsenal.

Now, at Watford, Welbeck would have been hoping for regular game time and no injuries.

But it looks like he may have suffered another setback early in Watford’s game with Spurs this afternoon:

That is a real shame for Welbeck, but it won’t be clear until after the game if he’ll miss any substantial amount of game time as a result.

As for Watford, they bounced back from the loss of Welbeck to take the lead away at Spurs through Abdoulaye Doucoure.
