Some Celtic fans can’t resist joking about Brendan Rodgers jumping ship to Arsenal after Unai Emery’s sacking.
The Emirates club this morning announced the firing of the Spanish manager following a difficult recent run of results.
Arsenal hadn’t won in six games going into last night’s Europa League group game with Eintracht Frankfurt at home.
And they made it seven without a victory at the Bundesliga side left north London with all three points.
Ultimately, it’s that result which has forced Arsenal into parting company with Emery.

Much of the Hoops support were upset when Rodgers decided to leave Celtic to take over at Leicester back in February.
At the time, Celtic were pushing for another treble and many felt it was the wrong time for the self-proclaimed Hoops fan to jump ship.
That’s why many believe he’d leave Leicester at such a strong time for them IF Arsenal were to come calling:
There will be a whole host of managers mentioned with taking on the Arsenal job, including Massimiliano Allegri, Nuno Espirito Santo and Mikel Arteta.
But would Rodgers be the best choice of them all?
He’s currently got Leicester sitting second top of the English Premier League table, eight points off league leaders Liverpool.
Would he jump ship at this moment to take on eighth-placed Arsenal?
