Pep Guardiola Personally Writes to 114 Man City Fans Who Flew to Ukraine

Pep Guardiola has taken the time to personally write a letter to every one of the 114 Manchester City fans who flew to the Ukraine for the club’s Champions League tie with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Premier League champions faced their Ukrainian counterparts in the Champions League Group C clash in Kharkiv back in September, with Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus all scoring a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Given the game required a whopping 4,000-mile round-trip, only a handful of City supporters were able to make the journey – and now their manager has gone out of his way to send them a classy thank you.

The Spaniard also adds that the 114 fans will receive a special reward for the reverse game at the Etihad in two weeks time, with a special hospitality ticket reserved for each supporter:

Not a bad bit of PR from Pep and City’s media team, eh?

Should more clubs follow suit in rewarding loyal supporters more?
