Hatem Abd Elhamed Hints at Bad News About Injury That Forced Him Off v Lazio

Hatem Abd Elhamed has hinted at bad news about the injury that forced him off during Celtic‘s win over Lazio on Thursday night.

Neil Lennon’s side beat Lazio 2-1 to book their place in the Europa League last 32 with two games to spare.

It was a monumental performance from the Scottish champions – and rightly the whole team has been praised for that.

But it’s easy to forget that Elhamed limped off seven minutes before the full-time whistle.

He was outstanding at the back for Lennon’s team and fans may have been worried when he went off.

Fortunately for the team, Celtic not only managed to hold on, but scored a last-gasp winner.

But Elhamed looks like he could miss out for some time with a groin injury.

Taking to Instagram, the Israeli defender posted this cryptic update:

Unfortunately for Celtic and Elhamed, this points towards an injury that will keep him out for a decent spell of time.

If so, it’s likely that Jeremie Frimpong will get a regular run in the team after impressing at right back over recent weeks.
