UEFA’s Stats Website Ranks Alfredo Morelos in Top 10 Players in the Europa League

UEFA’s own statistics website ranks Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos inside the top 10 players in this season’s Europa League.

The Colombian striker slammed home his 21st goal of the season last night to open the scoring against Porto at Ibrox, and set-up Steven Davis for his side’s second goal just three minutes later.

Rangers’ 2-0 victory puts Steven Gerrard’s side on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stages, and Morelos looks set to add to the impressive 11 European goals he already has this season.

According to the FedEx Performance Zone on Uefa’s website, those goals and his overall performances has currently earned Morelos 5,486 points, which has the 23-year-old ranked as the eighth-highest overall player.

He’s joined in the top 10 by players such as Sevilla striker Munir, Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

In form like this, do you think Rangers will inevitably face big bids for Morelos in the January transfer window?
