Alfredo Morelos scored a last-minute winner for Colombia last night.
The Rangers striker started his country’s friendly with Peru after some red hot form with the Ibrox club this season.
Going into last night’s match, Morelos had hit six goals in four games – including a goal against Porto in the Europa League.
And he now has seven in eight matches with the winner late on against Peru.
With the score level at 0-0 in injury time, it was Morelos who got the vital touch to win the game:
Morelos looked understandably delighted to see that hit the back of the net as it’s first goal for his country.
With some serious attacking talent in the Colombia squad – including Radamel Falcao, Roger Martinez, Luis Muriel and Carlos Bacca – an important goal should help Morelos’ case to play more regularly.
Colombia play Ecuador in the early hours of Wednesday morning and Morelos will no doubt be hoping to be involved again.
