Video: Gerrard Insists Rangers are Much Stronger Mentally Compared to Last Season

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard watched his side reach the Betfred Cup Final this afternoon – and then praised his side’s mental toughness compared to last season.

The Ibrox side went into today’s clash with a struggling Hearts side at Hampden as red-hot favourites and they lived up to their billing and then some, with an Alfredo Morelos double and a Filip Helander strike sealing a 3-0 victory.

The result marked the end of a five-game winless run in semi-finals for Rangers, and Gerrard insists his side have progressed significantly since losing to 1-0 to Aberdeen at the same stage last season:

Rangers will now face bitter rivals Celtic on December 8 in the Betfred Cup Final – and their mental toughness will be put to the ultimate test.

Do you agree with Gerrard that Rangers have grown mentally in the last 12 months or so?

And who do you think will come out on top in the next month’s final?
