The Scottish manager has this afternoon been appointed as Hibs’ new manager – replacing Paul Heckingbottom, who was sacked earlier this month.
He emerged as a clear favourite as soon as the job became available and the Easter Road outfit have moved quick to appoint him.
And now they’ll be looking forward to the future with the highly-rated gaffer at the helm.
Ross was sacked as Sunderland manager, with the club sitting sixth in English League One.
But he had reached the play-off final the season before, cruelly losing out 1-0 to Charlton at Wembley.
Ross did manage promotion with St Mirren back in 2018 – and it was a big result against Dundee United that helped push them towards that stellar season.

Ross has been appointed on a three-and-a-half-year deal at Hibs so should have plenty of time to make his mark on the team.
His first game in charge will come against Motherwell at Fir Park.
