Video: Jose Mourinho Provides Hilarious Answer to Question About Ruling Out Tottenham Job Years Ago

Jose Mourinho produced a hilarious answer to a question about how he ruled out the Tottenham job while Chelsea manager.

The new Spurs manager faced the media for the first time today after taking over from Mauricio Pochettino earlier this week.

And it was always going to be an entertaining press conference considering the surprise around Mourinho’s move and how quickly it came about after Pochettino’s sacking.

Back in 2015, Mourinho said he loved Chelsea fans too much to take on the Spurs job, per Evening Standard.

But why has he changed his mind? The man himself explained it best:

Mourinho was in his second spell at Chelsea at the time, but was sacked in December of 2015.

He went on to become Manchester United manager in 2016, lasting two years in that job before being sacked – so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s taken on another job in English football.
