Video: Leeann Dempster Says Paul Heckingbottom Wasn’t a Failure at Hibs

Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster has insisted Paul Heckingbottom wasn’t a failure during his time as manger at Easter Road.

Heckingbottom was given his marching orders earlier this month after a disastrous start to the season which saw the Edinburgh club languishing in 10th position in the Premiership table.

The ex-Leeds and Barnsley coach has since been replaced by Jack Ross, but Dempster reckons Heckingbottom shouldn’t be considered a complete failure, and points to the fine line between success and failure in the cut-throat world of Scottish football:

Whilst we applaud Dempster’s attempt at being diplomatic, for us, there’s no denying Heckingbottom was, pretty much, a failure during his time in charge at Easter Road.

But what do you think?

And is Ross the correct choice to replace him in the home dugout? How will he fare in his time as Hibernian manager?
